Betway Premiership side Orbit College FC has confirmed that they will, for the first time since their promotion, play their home match at Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg starting this weekend.
People in the North West have not watched their club play at home since their promotion to the SA elite league at the end of last season. They earned their spot in the Premiership after winning the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs against Casric Stars and Cape town City FC.
Orbit played their opening home matches at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto due to renovations at Olympia Park.
POGISO MAKHOYE DELIGHTED WITH A RETURN TO THEIR FAMILIAR VENUE
“We have been playing away for six games; remember, Dobsonville is not our ground, it’s in Gauteng. So this travelling also killed us. But on Saturday, we will finally be at home, where we are used to the pitch, because remember, the Dobsonville and Olympia pitches are not the same.
“We are training on the same pitch in Olympia, where we know the bounce of the ball. So finally we will be at home.”
Orbit remains at the bottom of the Betway Premiership after collecting three points from their opening six matches. Their only win of the season came through a narrow 1-0 victory over Siwelele FC at Dobsonville Stadium.
