Mswenko Boyz had an unsuccessful day at office in their first match of the year against Mamelodi Sundowns as the Betway Premiership campaign resumed.
Coach Pogiso Makhaye’s men lost 2–0, away from home, at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Mistakes and lapse of concentration at crucial moments were some of the reasons behind Orbit College FC’s defeat.
In addition to this, the departure of former key figure, Monnapule Saleng, visibly added to the lacking performance as well. Of which, Coach Pogiso was not ashamed to point out.
“We’ve been planning the game plan and everything was around him [Saleng], so we had to find a way to play without him” lamented the coach in the post match press conference.
“You could even see today, we struggled because our game plan was around Saleng” added Makhaye.
The club has acquired the services of 38-year-old experienced winger, Surprise Ralani, who seems to be the replacement of their previous #10.
Mswenko Boyz will be looking to feed off the skillful Ralani’s abilities and creativity in their quest to collect some points to move out of the relegation zones.
